After School Nanny Required – Hitchin, SG5
£20 to £22 gross per hour
Monday to Thursday | 3pm to 6pm (2pm to 6pm also considered)

A warm and professional family in Hitchin are seeking a calm, engaging and emotionally regulated nanny to care for their 4 year old son, who currently attends nursery and will be starting Reception in September.
​
This is a long term position with a family who genuinely value the nanny relationship and are happy to wait for the right person.
​
The Role
• School collection from a local nursery in Hitchin (walking distance)
• Return to the family home in Hitchin or occasional park visits
• Supporting decompression time after school
• Engaging in play and activities
• Preparing dinner
• Supporting smooth transitions into the evening
​
Additional hours may be available during school holidays and occasionally as overtime.
Light household support would be appreciated, including simple meal preparation, putting on and putting away washing and setting up activities. However, the primary focus is the child.
​
About the Child
He is bright, articulate and thrives on one to one adult engagement. He loves building, puzzles, marble runs, scooters, making dens and imaginative play. He has high functioning autism and sensory processing differences. He benefits from a calm, playful and flexible adult who can support transitions and help him regulate when needed. Experience with autism would be ideal but is not essential. The family are open to funding relevant training for the right nanny.

Ofsted registration is preferred, or willingness to register. The family are happy to cover registration costs.
