Part Time Housekeeper / House Manager – St Albans

Location: St Albans, Hertfordshire
Start Date: Starting ASAP
Salary: £18 to £20 gross per hour

Hours – 15 to 20 hours a week – spread over a minimum of 3 days – flexible on start and finish times.

 

A wonderful opportunity has become available for an experienced, organised and proactive Housekeeper / House Manager to support a busy family in their beautiful St Albans home.

This is a varied role suited to someone who takes pride in maintaining a high standard throughout a household and enjoys keeping family life running smoothly behind the scenes. The successful candidate will be self motivated, trustworthy, discreet and able to work independently whilst anticipating the family's needs.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Full housekeeping duties, ensuring the home is cleaned and maintained to a consistently high standard

  • Vacuuming, mopping, dusting and caring for a variety of surfaces and furnishings throughout the property

  • Thorough cleaning of kitchens, bathrooms and living areas

  • Laundry management, including washing, ironing, folding and putting away clothing and household linens

  • Changing bed linen and towels and maintaining well presented bedrooms and bathrooms

  • Household organisation, including cupboards, wardrobes, pantry areas and storage spaces

  • Monitoring and replenishing household supplies, groceries and cleaning products

  • Assisting with weekly grocery ordering and meal planning support

  • Managing household errands such as dry cleaning, returns and other ad hoc tasks

  • Coordinating household maintenance appointments, tradespeople and service providers when required

  • Taking ownership of the overall presentation, organisation and smooth running of the home

 

The family are looking for someone who has previous housekeeping or household management experience, excellent organisational skills and a positive, can do attitude.

 

This is a fantastic long term opportunity for a professional who enjoys creating calm, order and efficiency within a family home.
