Part-Time Nanny – South West London – SW17

​

A lovely family in South West London is looking for a warm, caring and experienced nanny to join them on a long-term basis from mid-October.

​

The family have two children, aged 10 months and 4 years, and are looking for someone who will become a trusted and valued part of family life.

​

The Role

  • Days: Ideally Thursdays and Fridays, although the family are open to any two days Tuesday–Friday

  • Hours: 8:30am–5:30pm

  • 18 hours per week

  • Start date: Ideally mid-October

  • Salary: £20–£22 gross per hour

  • Driver required

  • Duty car provided

  • Long-term position

​

The role will primarily focus on caring for the younger child during the day, with both children together around school pick-up. The school is approximately a 10-minute drive away.

 

The nanny's day will include a mixture of:

  • Taking the younger child to activities and groups

  • Getting out and about to parks and local activities

  • Age-appropriate play, reading and creative activities

  • Supporting naps, routines and mealtimes

  • Preparing children's meals and snacks

  • School pick-up

  • Outdoor and garden play

  • Organising playdates and activities

  • Supporting both children's development and routines

 

There will also be some child-related household duties, including children's laundry and bedding, keeping play areas tidy, meal preparation and occasional errands or grocery shopping.

 

The family are looking for someone who is:

  • Warm, caring and affectionate

  • Gentle and respectful

  • Playful, engaging and interactive

  • Creative and enjoys getting involved in children's activities

  • Mature, reliable and safety-conscious

  • Genuinely passionate about working with young children

  • Looking for a long-term position

 

The family would also consider an experienced nursery practitioner looking to make the move into a nanny role, provided they have the right experience and approach.
